Commando Joe's Boat Under Construction!

Commando Joe is delighted to announce that the building of the Commando Joe Ocean Fours rowing boat formally started today, after the team instructed Woodvale Events to begin her construction.

This marks a significant step forward for the team, and reflects the generosity and commitment of our sponsors to date. Commando Joe's completion in six weeks' time is important for a number of reasons, not least that the team will be able to start training in earnest and familiarising themselves with Commando Joe's characteristics. After all, the team's safety and welfare ranks above everything else on this trip: proper preparation is vital.

Completion of the boat also allows the team to get formal fundraising events underway, with the boat on display. Details of the tour, and venues where the boat will be on display, will be announced on these pages in due course.
